Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of The Wedy (“The Wedy”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), a wedding planning platform available at thewedy.com and related services. By creating an account or using the platform, you agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree, please do not use The Wedy. We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the date at the top of this page. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

The Wedy is designed for:

• Couples planning a wedding who want a website, RSVP tools, guest list management, and related planning features.
• Wedding planners who manage weddings for couples and may earn commissions when couples they refer purchase a plan.

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding contract in your jurisdiction. You are responsible for ensuring that any guest data you upload complies with applicable privacy laws and that you have the right to share it with us.

You may register with email and password or sign in with Google. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.

Account information must be accurate and kept up to date. We may suspend or terminate accounts that provide false information, violate these Terms, or pose a security or legal risk.

Couples purchase one-time plans that include access to wedding planning tools for a single wedding, as described on our pricing page. Optional add-ons may be purchased separately. Prices are shown in euros and include applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.

Payments are processed securely by Stripe. By completing checkout, you authorize us to charge your selected payment method for the plan and any add-ons you choose. All sales are final except where required by applicable consumer protection law.

Wedding planners may join The Wedy at no upfront cost. Planners earn commissions on qualifying couple purchases according to the rates and conditions shown in the platform. We reserve the right to adjust commission structures with reasonable notice to active planners.

Subject to these Terms and your plan, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use The Wedy to create and manage wedding projects, publish invitation websites, collect RSVPs, organize guest lists, and use planning tools such as seating planners and floor plan editors where included in your plan.

You agree not to:

• Use the platform for unlawful, harmful, or fraudulent purposes.
• Upload content that infringes intellectual property or privacy rights of others.
• Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or disrupt the service or its infrastructure.
• Resell, sublicense, or white-label the platform without our written consent.
• Use automated means to create accounts or send unsolicited messages through guest-facing features.

You retain ownership of the content you upload or create on The Wedy, including wedding details, photos, guest information, and custom copy. You grant us a license to host, display, process, and transmit that content solely to operate and improve the service — for example, to render your wedding website, send RSVP confirmations, or run AI-assisted planning features you enable.

You are solely responsible for the content you publish. Wedding websites and guest communications must not contain illegal, defamatory, or offensive material. We may remove content or disable public pages that violate these Terms or applicable law.

When you share a wedding website or RSVP link, guests may submit personal information such as names, email addresses, dietary preferences, and attendance responses. You act as the data controller for guest information you collect through your wedding project. We act as a processor on your behalf, as described in our Privacy Policy.

You must provide guests with appropriate notice about how their data will be used and honor any rights they may have under applicable privacy laws.

Certain plans include AI-powered tools such as seating suggestions, guest insights, or content generation. AI outputs are provided as suggestions only. You are responsible for reviewing and approving any AI-generated content or arrangements before relying on them for your event.

We do not guarantee that AI outputs will be error-free, unbiased, or suitable for every situation.

We aim to keep The Wedy reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features with reasonable notice when possible. Planned maintenance, third-party outages, or events beyond our control may occasionally affect availability.

After your wedding date, your project and associated data generally remain accessible according to your plan. We may archive inactive accounts after extended periods of inactivity, with notice where required.

The Wedy name, branding, templates, software, and design elements are owned by us or our licensors. Except for the limited license in Section 5, nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of our intellectual property to you.

If you believe content on The Wedy infringes your rights, contact us with sufficient detail for us to investigate.

The Wedy is provided “as is” and “as available” to the fullest extent permitted by law. We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We are not a wedding venue, vendor, or event insurer. The platform helps you organize information and communicate with guests; it does not replace professional advice or contractual arrangements with third-party suppliers.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, The Wedy and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill arising from your use of the service.

Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us for the relevant wedding plan in the twelve months before the claim, or €100 if you have not made a payment.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

You may stop using The Wedy at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, fail to pay amounts due, or if continued service would create legal or security risk.

Upon termination, your right to use the platform ends. Sections that by their nature should survive — including payment obligations, content licenses granted to us, disclaimers, and limitations of liability — will remain in effect.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Italy, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Milan, Italy, unless mandatory consumer protection rules in your country require otherwise.
